No-knead Bread in the Dutch Oven

Few things are better than the smell and taste of fresh bread in the morning. The seasons are changing and its slowly becoming baking season. Break in my that oven with some fresh bread. It’ll impress the fam and you’ll see it disappear in minutes.

What you’ll need:

3 cups flour

1 packet of yeast

2 tsp salt

1 1/2 cups of warm water

1/4 cups Olive oil

Let’s do this:

In a glass bowl mix all the ingredients together until it’s fully combined and “wet”. You may add more oil if needed.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and lay a towel over it. Let it rise at least 8 hours or over night (that’s what I do).

In the morning remove the wrap and gently knead the dough to form a round lump of dough. It’ll be very loose, don’t worry. This recipe is fool proof 🙌🏽🙌🏽

Meanwhile heat your oven to 425 degrees and put the Dutch oven inside to heat up also. Once the temperature is reached remove the Dutch oven, remove lid and place a big sheet of parchment paper over the pot.

Transfer the dough to the parchment lined pot. Give it a few swirls of olive oil and add salt or whatever seasoning you desire. I LOVE the Trader Joe’s everything bagel seasoning. Put the lid back on and transfer to the oven. Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on and then additional 15 minutes with the lid off.

Enjoy that fresh baked bread 🥖
